Travel clothes have one requirement: four hours of sitting, then somewhere with a door policy, and no ironing in between. Leather and merino both pass. Linen and poplin do not.
Belt the trench rather than buttoning it — a belted trench has a waist and a buttoned one has a rectangle.
Why it works
- Black on black with one chocolate note, so nothing has to match exactly.
- Leather does not crease, which is most of the argument for it here.
- Sneakers now, pumps in the bag. Two outfits, one set of clothes.
Swap it
Black pumps and the satin skirt out of the bag, and the evening is covered.
